Welcome to Paradise Farm Organics - Why buy organic?
Buy Local
At the start of the 21st century we were importing 95% of our fruit
and half of our vegetables. The transport of food accounts for a quarter
of all road freight in the UK incurring huge carbon dioxide emissions
(responsible for climate change) and harmful pollutants. Food that has
been grown nearby is not only fresher, but by cutting down on food miles
means our food supports the local economy, reinforces local communities
and contributes less pollution.
Seasons
It's easy to forget that, while the British climate produces some of
the most fabulous tasting vegetables, we cannot produce them all year
round. Let's stop with this permanent global summertime, box schemes
bring us back in touch with nature's seasons.

EU Regulations say that cucumbers should not curve more than 15 degrees!
Misshaped carrots are rejected by supermarkets and simply thrown away
before they reach the shelves. Vegetables do not have a uniform shape
and size, is it not the taste that matters the most?
